Welcome to The Life Center, a dynamic family support center that has been serving the community since 1993. Originally known as Jay Co Pregnancy Care Center, we are proud of our dedicated volunteers who actively contribute to our mission. Our well-loved Ladies Night Out event is just one of many ways we foster connections and give back.
For over 30 years, the Center has provided free and confidential services to those in need, never turning anyone away. This work is made possible through the faithful generosity of our supporters. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and do not receive or accept government funding. Our mission is to glorify God by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ through free counseling and compassionate support that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs associated with pregnancy and family care.
The Life Center's staff and volunteers have given the best they have to offer while believing that Jesus has led them to serve in this way. The Board of Directors serves the Center in full commitment and shows service over self daily.
We are a member of the Jay County Chamber of Commerce.

When you come to the Life Center, you can be confident that your visit and any information you share with us will be completely private. We will not share any personal information about you or your visit with anyone outside of our organization. We are here to help and listen.

Pregnancy
Tests
If you have had unprotected sex, or have missed your monthly period, you might be wondering if you are pregnant. The first thing you may want to do is take a pregnancy test. We can help! We offer pregnancy testing at our center at no cost. Reach out today!
Pregnancy Counseling
We want you to be informed about all of your pregnancy options. When a woman is facing an unexpected pregnancy, it is very important that she receives accurate information in a safe environment. We are here to answer your questions and direct you to the best resources.
Material Assistance
We understand that with a new baby comes the need for material resources such as diapers, wipes, clothes, toiletries, and bottles. The Life Center is happy to help supply you with what you need as you begin this new journey into parenthood. We are excited to walk through this with you!
Post Abortion Support
There is no right or wrong way to feel after your abortion. Every woman’s experience is unique. Relief, anger, sadness, and hope can all exist at one time. That may be confusing, but it’s also normal. If you’re looking for emotional support after an abortion, we’re here to help. Please understand: The Life Center does NOT offer, recommend, or refer for abortions or abortifacients.
Adoption Referrals
Gifting someone with a child is one of the most courageous acts someone can do. However, considering adoption can be confusing. There is a lot of information to sift through. We have a network of credible and professional adoption help we can refer you to.
Community Assistance & Referrals
We proudly offer free assistance and referrals to various parenting resources and local organizations. We aim to support families by connecting them with the help they need. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community!
Parental
Training
Our parenting classes are tailored for all expecting parents. Our program covers essential topics such as prenatal care, childbirth, child development, and parenting skills. We aim to equip you with the fundamental tools needed to become the best parent possible.
Safe Sleep Classes
We are excited to partner with FireFly and the Family Resource Center in Portland to offer these classes to families! Classes are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4:30 pm -
5:30 pm at the FCS office,
